How Resunivo Calculates Your Resume Score

Understand the quality rubric, fixed weights and secondary readability estimates before acting on a score.

Resunivo's overall resume score is a quality estimate, not a universal ATS pass mark. The underlying analysis produces dimension scores; the overall number is calculated in code using consistent weights. It is not randomly generated and is not an employer's hiring decision.

The four weighted dimensions

  • Content: 35% — relevant information and clarity of the evidence.
  • Structure: 25% — organization and understandable chronology.
  • ATS readability: 25% — indications that the extracted text and document structure can be interpreted.
  • Presentation: 15% — clarity and readability of the presentation.

Together these weights total 100%. A change that improves one dimension does not automatically solve every other issue. A resume can be orderly but vague, or detailed but difficult to scan.

Secondary scores answer narrower questions

ATS readability, recruiter readability and content quality reuse the existing free analysis dimensions. They are heuristic estimates intended to explain the result, not separate externally verified test outcomes. Older saved analyses may not contain these additional fields.

Use the tips before chasing a number

A recommendation to connect dates with their roles gives you an observable edit. A generic instruction to “get 90” does not. Read the four tips, compare them with your resume and prioritize accurate, relevant changes.

If you remove an unsupported achievement, a tool's score might not rise. That does not justify restoring the claim. The best revision remains something you can support.

Why other checkers may disagree

Tools use different rubrics, inputs and methods. Some compare a document with a vacancy; others assess general writing. There is no common score scale that establishes the same pass threshold across every ATS. Resunivo does not have access to an employer's internal screening configuration.

What the score does not establish

It cannot guarantee an interview, measure every qualification or verify every claim in your career history. AI analysis has limitations, so review facts, dates and wording yourself. A readable document still needs to be appropriate to the role.
